I live with my husband and 11 month old in Watford. I still work full time though. I have lived and worked in many countries in Europe but decided to settle back in the UK. I can tell I am growing old (33!) as I now like TV programmes about gardening and houses. Never thought that would happen. I used to watch all Eastenders episodes until I didn’t like who killed Lucy.

I work as a researcher in the lab where I tag radioactivity to molecules. I then use these to image tumours as the peptides and antibodies bind only to the tumours. The radioactivity that is attached then helps me make a scan (PET and SPECT) with which I can see where the tumour is and if it has spread to other organs. I alsoย create new radiation therapies that are able to hunt down cancer cells whilst keeping healthy cells intact.
