Question: Do you think there will ever be a cure?

I am not sure if there will ever be a cure for cancer as a whole, as each type of cancer is so different from each other. So it might be that we find a way of curing breast cancer for example, but that same technique doesnt work for a different type of cancer. Similarly, we don’t yet know why some patients respond to a particular treatment and others don’t, which impacts how well we can treat them.

So rather than finding one cure that treats everyone with every type of cancer, it is more likely that we will be able to treat and potentially cure cancer on a case by case basis, so everyone gets a personalised treatment that is predicted to work best for them.
