No, when I was growing up I wanted to be in the military and work with aeroplanes. But, when I got injured I had to find something else to do. I then got interested in biomedical engineering as I wanted to help people with the skills that I’ve got. I’m now doing a PhD working with amputees, which I didn’t really decide to do until about the age 20. I’m now 25 and when I finish my PhD I might well change my mind again and do something different. I’ll wait and see what opportunities there are!
I always wanted to do a job related to science. When I started my undegraduate studies in Chemistry I never really thought that I would stay in academia. This idea started falling into place when I finished my master’s degree
