• Question: what does NVQ, ONC, HNC, and LiRF stand for?

      Hi Sam,
      That’s a great question !

      NVQ = National Vocational Qualification ( work based practical learning )
      ONC = Ordinary National Certificate, – similar to A-level academic/theory in subjects I do at work
      HNC – Higher National certificate. – under-graduate type qualification, again in subjects used at work
      LiRF – Leader in Running Fitness. basic, bottom of the range athletic coaching/leading qualification. I do that for free, for a local athletics club, helping people start running or walking activities.
