Hi Katy, thanks for your question! I think a highlight for me was getting onto my PhD programme- it meant having to get a good grade in my masters degree and also go through a big interview!

The other thing is working where I am now- I’m working on a super cool forest experiment where we are pumping extra carbon dioxide ( a greenhouse gas) into the air around the trees. This means that the air around the trees has the levels of carbon dioxide we expect in 50 years time. We are measuring lots of things in the forest to see what forests will be like in the future! Its a really cool place to work, so that’s a highlight too!

      Aileen 🙂

My highlight so far is that I have just gotten back from Washington, D.C. in America, where I went to a conference (a really big gathering of lots of scientists and doctors who are all working to cure cancer) and I got to present some of my work as a poster. Lots of people stopped to look at it and ask questions, which was really cool. The big conferences like that are a great place to share ideas so it was really fun!
