At the biggest particle smasher in the world (the Large Hadron Collider), we mainly smash together protons. Protons are inside everything you see around you, including the computer you’re looking at, the chair you’re sitting on, even you! Protons are like tiny LEGO blocks that are needed to build up all other LEGO structures.
