      Hi 🙂

Before I started looking for PhD research positions I actually didn’t have the kidneys in mind as a part of the body to study. I was more specifically interested in genetics and inherited diseases. It was when I did a job search that I came across this position involving researching and studying the kidneys. I would have happily looked at another part of the body as the whole human body fascinates me: how it works, why it works that way, what happens when it goes wrong, etc… That’s something that is great about being a researcher, you can apply you interests and knowledge to different fields, e.g. different parts of the body.
