I work on a cancer medicines project in collaboration with a University in Glasgow and NHS Scotlandβs Greater Glasgow and Clyde branch. Together we work to improve the lives of people with cancer. We work directly with patients, and often call upon the help of people working in charities. We are all in it together.

No such thing! It depends on the phase of the project. Broadly speaking you have design, data collection, and data analysis. All along the way you have lots and lots of reading and lots and lots of writing. I am mostly office-based just now, but also work in hospitals a lot and visit support groups, etc. Changes a lot.
