• Question: will there be a lot of jobs in AI in the future? What should I study to follow this?

      Artificial Intelligence is a really exciting technology! It means creating a computer which thinks like a human. It’s going to be more and more important over the next 10-50 years so there would certainly be jobs in it!
      Useful courses to study would be Computer Science, Engineering, any university degree with maths, technology and logic based subjects. If you enjoy coding this would be a help too (Check out CoderDojo).

      I think there might be a boom for these jobs! I’d say you’d need to study maths, physics, computer science, and anything to do with engineering. It sounds like a really fun job to have!

      Definitely a growing field 😀 A computer science degree is definitely the way to go here, but it’s worth looking for a university that has staff that specifically work on AI. That way it’s much more likely that they’ll actually teach some AI in their undergraduate course, and you might even stick around to do a PhD 😀

      Hi 368cars46,

      I personally think there will be a lot of jobs in AI, yes! There will be a need for jobs that don’t currently exist as such, but will also develop over time.

      There is no straightforward answer about what to study exactly as AI is such a broad field; some people get into AI through computer science, others even through biology or completely other fields!
      You can find AI in so many different topic areas these days already, when you think about it: in software games, on your smart phone, even in medical health, etc!

      Different things you could consider:

      – computer science and coding,
      – maths and mathematical understanding,
      – physics, engineering and robotics,
      – but you also should have a sense of curiosity, creativity and problem solving!
